Event Description
Join us at 11:00 a.m. at Ecliptic Brewing and enjoy a 5k-ish fun-run through the Boise/Elliot/Mississippi neighborhood of North Portland! Walk, jog, run, no one cares! We’ve mapped out a course that starts and ends at Ecliptic, and our guides along the way will make sure you know where to go.
All participants receive a craft brew from Ecliptic Brewing, collectors pint glass or seasonal swag item, and other goodies from series partners.

About the Race
Let’s consider this an “un-race” as it goes against many principles of other 5k races you may be familiar. This run isn't timed, and you will not get a medal when you finish. We also don’t close down any streets, but will make sure your route is safe and fun!
What a great way to enjoy Portland in the late spring, sample beer from local breweries, and know that a portion of your entry fee is going to support the Oregon Brewshed Alliance, Dollar For Portland, and Life Vest Inside.
Things to Note:

The course is open, meaning roads will not be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations

You must bring a valid ID or drivers license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the course, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive a complementary non-alcoholic beverage)

Race Day Details
The run starts at 11:00 AM sharp! Please arrive 30 minutes before the start to get checked-in. Don’t forget some extra money! In addition to your FREE beer and swag, there will be merchandise for sale, food, and plenty more beer!
As is the case with most places in Portland, parking is tricky at Ecliptic. There is a small parking lot on the south side of the building, but it will fill fast. Park on the streets nearby, and we always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers.

About Ecliptic Brewing
Located at the very southern end of the historic Mississippi Ave, Ecliptic brewing is the latest project of legendary Oregon brewmaster, John Harris. He is the guy behind some of our favorite Oregon beers.
After beginning as a brewer at McMenamins’ breweries, he moved to Deschutes where he created the recipes for Mirror Pond, Black Butte Porter, Jubelale and Obsidian Stout. He spent the next 20 years of his career as a Brewmaster at Full Sail in charge of creating the Brewmaster Reserve line of beers.
The name Ecliptic Brewing combines 2 of John’s passions, astronomy, and beer. At the restaurant and brewery, you’ll find all kinds of celestial imagery – from the lights to the partitions, and of course, the beer itself.
Ecliptic not only has an excellent beer selection but fantastic food as well.
