Join AleSmith Brewing Company and the Tony & Alicia Gwynn (TAG) Foundation for the second-annual Tony Gwynn 5.5K, a charity event remembering our dearly departed friend and hero, “Mr. Padre”, while raising money to support TAG’s work to support, train and better the lives of homeless, at-risk and underprivileged people throughout San Diego County. The run will start at 8 a.m., with a walk beginning shortly after at 8:15 a.m. Both will be followed by a post-event celebration at AleSmith’s Miramar headquarters featuring beer (including San Diego Pale Ale .394, a beer developed in collaboration with Tony), food and entertainment. Last year’s event included 600 runners and walkers of all athletic levels and walks of life. This year, we are looking to double that number and the amount raised to help the humanitarian work of the TAG Foundation. We hope you’ll join us for a day of fun and remembrance.
**Early Registrants will receive a .394 pint glass in their goodie bag! While Supplies Last!!
**Pre-Registration will close Friday, June 17 at 4PM.
**Prices will increase by $5 each on Monday, May 30.
**You may register the morning of the race for an additional $10 per level.

POST RACE PARTY
After the race, join your fellow runners, walkers, and Tony Gwynn fans for a celebration at the all-new AleSmith Brewing Company! Enjoy food trucks, live music, and great beer. Each participant who is 21 years or older will receive a drink ticket which is included with registration (or two for Major League and Hall of Fame Levels) good for a pint of AleSmith’s many beers, including the San Diego Pale Ale .394. **Must show valid ID to redeem beer tickets! Additional beer will be available for purchase.
Non-Alcoholic Beverages will be available for those under 21 years of age.
Post-Race festivities will include:

PACKET PICK UP
Pick up your race packet early!! Packet pickup will be available on Wednesday, June 15, Thursday, June 16, and Friday, June 17 (see times below) at the AleSmith Tasting Room – enjoy a beer while you’re there! Your race packet will include your race bib, t-shirt, goodie bag, and souvenirs (if included with your registration).
A photo ID or a copy (printed or electronic) of your confirmation email is required. If you can't make it to packet pickup, don't worry - a friend or family member is welcome to pick up for you with a copy of your confirmation email!
We STRONGLY encourage you to pick up your packet prior to race day. Race day packet pickup will be available, however please allow extra time that morning and be prepared to wait in line.

RACE DAY PARKING & DIRECTIONS
Event parking is limited! There will be NO parking available on or around AleSmith Court, we encourage you to carpool if possible. Race day parking & instructions coming soon.
• When sidewalks are available, please walk/run on the sidewalk.
• If running with small children, please watch and direct them through the race.
• Please follow any directions provided by race officials, volunteers, and law enforcement.
• No glass bottles, containers etc. allowed at the outdoor venue (parking lots, sidewalks, streets, course, etc.)
• Above all, please be courteous and respectful to everyone around you..
• Runners will be broken into starting waves based on their speed.
• Don’t forget your ID if you plan to partake in the AleSmith beer.
• To find lost items or to be reunited with friends, our Lost & Found area will be located at the Check-In Tent.
• Please attach your bib number so it is visible on your shirt. This is how you will be identified as a Tony Gwynn 5.5K runner.
• Teams may run in a group or separately.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Will there be water stations along the course?
Yes, there will be three water stations: one along Miralani Drive, one at Mikkeller SD off Cabot Drive (don’t forget your ID), and one at the finish line.
Can we bring a stroller to the 5.5K?
Yes, strollers are allowed, however we ask that you start at the back of the participants as to allow the runners more space.
Can we bring a dog to the 5.5K?
Yes, dogs are allowed, however we ask that you start at the back of the participants as to allow the runners more space.
What if it rains?
The Tony Gwynn 5.5K is rain or shine!
