Morro Bay Bands on the Run is a Half Marathon, 10K Run and 5K Walk/Run. Beginning at the Morro Bay High School stadium, the run will quickly take you through the famous "Cypress Tunnel", then onto the beautiful California beach. Enjoy bands and music playing on the main stage and at key venues along the run courses.

Race Day Events and Activities:
There will be bands and musicians playing at venues along the courses. Fruit and water for participants, concession stands for fans.
The courses have been measured by an experienced USATF measurer. The distances are accurate, however, are not certified.
The Courses close at 1:00 p.m. on race day.
Approximately 200 feet of the courses are softer beach sand.
The race will be electronically timed by Synergy Race Timing. Runners will wear a bib with a disposable chip. Results and times will be posted as racers finish and complete results will be available on line.

Under 18 years of age:
Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature on the event waiver and release of liability.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Dog access is limited on portions of the beach, particularly in the vicinity of the Snowy Plover.
Can I push a stroller?
Yes. We ask that you start the run at the end of the pack as not to impede the other runners. Please make sure that the stroller is equipped to navigate the beach terrain.
What is the parking like?
We have the benefit of the entire MBHS campus. There is plenty of free parking for all.
When and where do I pick up my runner’s packet?
Please, if possible pick up your runner’s packet on Friday, May 22 at MBHS from 4:00 – 7:00pm. If you are unable to do so, you may also pick it up race day between 7:00 and 8:00am.

The Morro Bay High School Music Boosters is a volunteer group of parents, community members and businesses committed to the outreach and advocacy of music education. Our goal is to provide for the needs of the Morro Bay High School and Los Osos Middle School music departments and students that are not met by current school funding. We accomplish this goal through fundraising, grant writing, advocacy and volunteer efforts in an attempt to fill the gap between school budgets and the needs of our music program.
