Get ready for the 1st annual Run to Surf adventure challenge! The event takes place on the scenic coast of Santa Barbara and includes a 5k run, a 1/2 mile surf paddle (on a surfboard), and a extensive beach obstacle course, . The course is designed to be completed by either teams of 3 (each member does one leg) or, if you're feeling extra saucy, by an individual, which we affectionately call BEAST mode (really, we mean that as a good thing).
The event starts and finishes at Leadbetter Beach, and the finish line greets you with an amazing fiesta (hello - beers, beach, beats, need we say more?!)! The course includes one moderate hill and a few curves on the run portion. Then it's the paddle course - a secure .5 mile paddle out into the gorgeous Pacific Ocean and finishing back on the beach. You or your team will finish the event with a fun and challenging beach obstacle course designed by Jenny Schatzle, one of Santa Barbara's most popular fitness personalities. Once you've finished the fiesta awaits, including a beer garden (and a free beer to all event participants!), music and food trucks.
You will not want to miss the inaugural Run to Surf event as it's sure to be epic!
