The Ned Tyson Memorial Pirates on the Run 5k/10k is one of three of the Amelia Runners club race series. Net proceeds of the race will be donated to the St. Peters Episcopal Church mission trips.
Event details and schedule
SCENIC COURSES: Run down Atlantic Avenue to a cross-country segment through the unpaved Egan’s Creek Greenway, about 1 mile for the 5K and 4 miles for the 10K.
START & FINISH: 10K and 5K both START at St. Peter’s Church Episcopal Church, on Atlantic Ave at 8:30AM.
CHIPPED TIMED: The race will be timed using Champion Chips. Chips will be provided at packet pickup. You can use your own chip and deduct $2 from your race entry, but only if you preregister.You must wear a chip on your shoe to be included in the race results.
WALKERS WELCOME: Walkers are encouraged to enter the 5K. Please walk on sidewalks when possible. 5K walkers may wear a chip and be timed; no chip timing for 10K walkers.
PLEASE NO STROLLERS, dogs or headphones in the 5K/10K. There will not be a kids fun runs this year. Be aware that there will be traffic on the course, except inside the Greenway. The 10K route will cross a road with traffic, out-and-back.

PACKET/NUMBER PICK-UP: All pre-registered runners can pick up packets at Current Running (located at 815 S. 8th street Fernandina Beach, FL 32034) on Friday, March 2nd, from 9:00AM to 6:00PM. Pick-up on race day will be available at St Peter’s Church beginning at 7:00AM.
