Just Tri 7, Series 2
This race will be the first race of the 2nd Just Tri 7 Series.
The Just Tri 7 series was started this year, 2018, and will continue into 2019 and beyond. "Just Tri 7" is a 7 mile run. It's just a bit more than the normal 10K, but far more rewarding. The series is comprised of 7, 7 mile races.
7 miles, per race, was chosen as the distance, because each mile stands for each letter of Just Tri. We will sponsor all 7 races per summer and finishers of each race receive a series medal and shirt. The medals will uniquely fit together.
The running events are meant to challenge runners and take advantage of the various venues of the local great running areas from Point Defiance to Olympia. The courses will vary, but will all be good, solid running events and make use of road and multi-use public trails.
We invite the entire family to come enjoy the actives - Just Tri events always include various giveaways, refreshments and fun for everyone.

Just Tri’s “Get the Five 5K ’out-the-way”
The Just Tri “Get the Five 5K ‘out-of-the-way” start your New Year of Right. This 5K run is the third in the Triple the Fun Run Series. The previous events included The Crazy Hat Run on October 29th and on December 9th the Jingle Bell Rock Run. Participants have received a Crazy Hat, a Jingle Bell Rock Run shirt and will receive a warm Just Tri Scarf on the first 5K of the year. It’s already 2018 and we might as well start our new year by completing the first race of year. Get the first 5K out of your way!
The 5K Course:
Short and sweet! Fort Steilacoom offers a wide variety of paved and trail components as well several challenging hills. This 5K is very flat, and potentially a fast 5K. Other 5K’s that Just Tri has built, have included hills and challenged athletes making them test their grit. This course gives participants the opportunity for a really good run time. Starting with a couple turns to warm up, then a strait sprint on Angle road, continuing on in the “back area’s” of the park. Pace yourself and get into the rhythm of the race here. Keep a mindful eye for dog walkers entering the dog park.
Once participants get to Waughop Loop Trail they can really open-up! Make time, lean into the turn and take advantage of the smooth surface. The finish line will be right there! Some participants asked if they can walk? Yes, feel free to walk. Strollers? Yes, we ask if you are pushing a stroller to appropriately place yourself and please use additional caution.
Kids 1 Mile Run/ Walk:
This a free event. The walk is free, parents may join, pets: bring them along! It will be flat and enjoyable. This race will start about 2 mins after the 5K. Please note to receive a scarf or Medal participants must enter the 5K run or walk!
Complimentary photo’s will be available – See our Web Site after the race! RunLakewood.com
