Join Calvary Training Center at Imperial Beach to it’s Inaugural Imperial Beach 5K (IB5K) on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 8:00AM!!   "IB5K" - A BEACH RUN for Calvary Training Center, will take place at Pier Plaza on Seacoast Drive and Elder Avenue in sunny Imperial Beach, California.

Calvary Training Center, is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Spring Valley, and is celebrating its 20 Year Anniversary in 2016!   This INAUGURAL 5K race is being held to raise funds for the training center which trains up youth groups, fellowship groups and other civic minded groups of Southern California and the western region of the United States, to minister to those in need in the hyper-impoverished areas of La Gloria and Granjas, Mexico. By means of your support to "IB5K,"  Calvary Training Center will be able purchase new training programs for their students, obtain much needed supplies for the surrounding area families, and replace worn beds, bedding and weathered furniture for the missions base to continue into the next 20 years. 

Calvary Training Center reaches out to hyper-impoverished neighborhoods and establishes deep, supportive relationships with not only the families in great need directly associated with thier base, but also with the mission to go further into the mission fields of Central and South America.

Calvary Training Center is based in La Gloria, Mexico and they specialize in training young adults to become missionaries.

Participating in IB5K is a great way to give back to the training centers goals of reaching the needy and impoverished. Our after event “EXPO “ will have GREAT food, JUMPERS for the KIDS, live music and MUCH more!!    The anticipation is this race will prove to be the beginning of an exciting NEW tradition of a family fun filled day for the residents of Imperial Beach.  One which will help to support the families of those hyper-impoverished areas Calvary Training Center serves.

Calvary Training Center is looking forward to working with the community of Imperial Beach and The Boys & Girls CLub of South County in this endeavor, recognizing that this event provides an opportunity to say “THANK YOU” for their own blessings by offering to serve and give back to others in need.

                           * Store Hours: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

** Picture ID REQUIRED.

     If picking up for a friend, please provide a copy of thier ID and a note requesting pick up for our files.

** Late Packet Pickup @ Pier Plaza - 7:00am to 7:45am

     Saturday June 25th (Day of Race) ID NOT REQUIRED

EVENT SCHEDULE:  Please arrive with ample time to PARK. FREE PARKING and also PAID PARKING available.  First come, first served.

**Race Begins ON TIME at 8:00am at Pier Plaza

Immediately following race is after event EXPO with VENDORS, FOOD, JUMPERS, LIVE MUSIC, & CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES until 12:00PM !!

***FREE PANCAKE BREAKFAST to ALL REGISTRANTS!

WHAT TO BRING:  Water will be made available AFTER the race for each registrant.

Bring picnic chairs for friends and family to spectate and for after event EXPO!

COURSE ROUTE: This is a 5K ON THE BEACH beginning at the Pier.  LOW TIDE will accomodate runners with PACKED SAND.  There MAY BE soft sand will possibly need to be traversed. BRING ON THE BEACH!!
