Cooperstown Triathlon

Welcome to iconic Cooperstown, New York.  Baseball isn’t the only sport in the neighborhood anymore.  Held in the lovely Glimmerglass State Park, only 8 miles from downtown Cooperstown and the hustle and bustle of this fascinating little community known as America’s Hometown.  

Sprint Triathlon & AquaBike:

Swim Course: Ostego Lake is calling you for this refreshing 400m swim to get your blood pumping and your heart racing.  Paratriathletes are welcomed!  A super event for relay teams of 2 or 3.

Participants in the Aqua Bike competition will complete the event after the bike. Finish times are recorded as participants racks their bikes and make it to the Finish Line.  Timing is done manually for this event.  There are no relay team entries for the AquaBike.

Bike Course:  Jump on your bike and head out of the State Park for this 11 mile, fast and rolling course.  Out of the park, left turn onto County Hwy 31, left turn onto Mill Road, Mill Road bends to the right, left turn onto County Road 53, immediate right turn onto Griggs Road, right turn onto State Route 20, right turn onto County Hwy 31, right turn into Glimmerglass State Park.

Run Course: Complete your race with a beautiful, shaded 5K run (3.1miles) all within the State Park. Two fully stocked aid stations on the course with Hammer Nutrition products and more. The finish line welcomes you with a home stretch run right along the lakeshore with plenty of spectator support cheering you on.

Schedule of Events:

Friday - 12p - 8pm - Packet Pick Up at race site (not mandatory)

Saturday - 7:00am - Sprint Triathlon (Individuals and Relay Teams) & AquaBike                               

DIVISIONS & AWARDS:

• Triathlon  - Top 3 Overall Male and Female; M/F 5 year age groups 19&U - 80+
• Paratriathletes - Top 3 Overall Male and Female
• AquaBike - Top 3 Overall Male and Female
• Relay Teams - Top 3 Overall

• Individualized certificates will be emailed to each winner in each category above.

POST RACE:

Finisher medals & Race T-shirts

Beer Zone supplied by Southern Tier Brewing Company (must be 21 years of age)

Post race snacks provided by Wilson Endurance Sports.  (Will depend where we are with Covid on what is offered.). Fully operational State Park concession stand with menu available for purchase by participants and spectators. 

RULES:

All races are USAT sanctioned and all rules and regulations apply, and there will be no refunds for this event or bib transfers. Race is held Rain or Shine. It is the participants responsibility to know the rules for an event sanctioned by USA Triathlon. 

If not a current USAT member you will be required to purchase one day event coverage during registration.  $15 for Adults, $10 for 17 & Under.

**Please note that with assuming Covid restrictions will be in place for 2021 - there will be NO race day registration.  Protocols will be outlined in an updated Athlete Guide that will be published closer to race day.

There is NO refund for this event. However, with ADVANCE notice, you may defer to another Wilson Endurance Sports event or next years race. You must speak with Tonia Wilson directly via email at tonia@coachmarkwilson.comor 716-353-1288.
