Aloha!
Join us for a fun and festive 5k in Griffith Park on Saturday, August 13, 2016! We have a flat, easy 5k course on packed dirt laid out for the entire family! The event is chip-timed and USATF sanctioned! We also have a kids 1k race! Each 5K runner gets a goodie bag, a lei, sunglasses, a participants shirt (50-50 cotton poly blend) and a medal! Each 1k kids participant gets a medal as well! (no shirt for kids!) Parking is plentiful and hassle-free. Mahalo!

RACE DAY INFO:
Packet Pick Up - 6:30am to 7:20am
Gun start for the 5k - 7:30 am.
Gun Start for the Kids race - 8:45 am; Kids warm-up begins at 8:30 am.
THE COURSE
This is a USATF sanctioned course.
The course is flat and an out-and-back on packed dirt. You will finish at the same place you start. (kids 1k too!)
PARKING
Parking will be right beside the race area. There are ample slots so you dont need to worry about it!
DIRECTIONS
Directions to the Griffith Luau 5k & kids 1K Run/Walk:
From the 5 southbound, exit Los Feliz (west) and make a right on Riverside. This is the entrance to the park. Keep going for about 1 mile and make a right to the Pote Baseball Field Area. (Before the Ranger Station and Merry Go Round. Follow signs to the race.
From the 5 northbound, exit Los Feliz and make a left upon exit. Make a right on Riverside. This is the entrance to the park. Keep going for about 1 mile and make a right to the Pote Baseball Field Area. (Before the Ranger Station and Merry Go Round. Follow signs to the race.
Absolutely no refunds or transfers.
Note: The 1k participants will receive a medal but not a t-shirt. Also participants who register the month of the event (August, 1-8) are not guaranteed the exact shirt size.
