Register today for our second Global Hunger Relief Run at Trinity Skyline Trail in downtown Dallas June 13, 2018. This exciting event will take place in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention and all registration fees go directly to hunger projects supported by Southern Baptist missionaries around the world!

Can't join us Wednesday morning? Register here for the "Run From Your Bed" option. You can still send $25 to feed hungry people around the world and pick up the GHR Run swag bag on Tuesday! 

Event details and schedule

Race participants can choose between a professionally timed 5k run or a one-mile Fun Run option. This fun event is perfect for seasoned runners, families or those who just want to raise funds for those in need. Children under 18 can do the Fun Run for free! Every one who participates will receive a dry-fit T-shirt and a swag bag of goodies from our sponsors.

This year, runners can give even more to serve hungry people by choosing the Silver or Gold level registration and receive a special gift from GHR. Individual winners in a variety of categories, as well as team winners, will be recognized later that day in a brief presentation at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. To create a team, get together a group of 3 or 4, come up with an awesome name and register as a team on active.com. Only registrants for the 5k will receive a timing-chipped bib and are eligible to be recognized as winners. 

Packet pick-up will take place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Tuesday afternoon June 12, in the Exhibit Hall area of the Southern Baptist Convention at the booth of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. The specific time will be emailed to runners closer to race day. 

Transportation will be provided from the Convention Center to the Trinity Skyline Trail starting at 6:00 a.m. June 13. While we encourage you to use our motor coaches, a small number of onsite parking sites are also available for local participants. After a brief program, the first round of runners will begin their race on the beautiful riversaide trail at 6:30 a.m. Our professionally marked course will include the scenic Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge. Water will be available along the course and course cut off time is 7:30 a.m. 

Upon completion, snacks will be provided and the motor coaches will be ready to take finishers back to the Convention Center. All participants should be back to the Convention Center by 8 a.m. 

Global Hunger Relief is an initiative of 7 Southern Baptist organizations working together to combat hunger around the globe. 100% of your registration fees for the Global Hunger Relief Run go directly to feeding hungry people. Eighty percent of funds are used internationally through the work of the International Mission Board and Baptist Global Response. Twenty percent is distributed across the states by the North American Mission Board. GHR is a partnership of seven Southern Baptist organizations: Baptist Global Response, International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, Send Relief, the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, Woman's Missionary Union, LifeWay and the Executive Committee.
