This 13.1 extreme Eco-Trail run on Santa Cruz Island is a Wilderness run from sea level @ Santa Cruz Island's Prisoners Cove, up through the island highlands, valleys and mountains, then looping back to Prisoner's Cove. It is a new course from prior years, offering the best of the island. Those that have run before? get ready for even more incredible sights to see. ( We are starting at Prisoners, not Scorpion)
This run is not suitable for trail walkers or first time runners. It is a challenging extreme run with a wilderness setting. There are areas of steep single track that have to be walked even by the best.
We have a great complimentary after party lunch on the island. Past runners overwhelming tell us this is the most remote and scenic run availble on the west coast of the USA. We have changed the course and nearly half of the course is new.
This is a full non-profit event and your entry helps our Sheriff's Search and Rescue and the youth and community while promoting health and fitness. Thus, there are no refunds or flipping your entry to others. If we get rained out or any other natural disaster or such, yor money will still be used for all non profit adn we thank you. There is not a planned back up date. This has never happend but always be prepared for that.
