Event Description

Held this year on Global Running Day, a race unique to Van Cortlandt Park and the Bronx! Starting outside the historic Van Cortlandt House Museum, the former residence of the Van Cortlandt Family and going around the Parade Grounds ("The Flats") of the most renowned XC venue in the Northeast, and finishing at the famous Pete McArdle Finish Line and Tortoise & Hare statue.  It's only a mile, but it'll be full of passion!!!!

A portion of the proceeds from the Flats Mile Registration goes to the funding of materials to resurface the Cross-Country Flats and the donations to our event go support NYRR's Youth Programs to support running programs for hundreds of thousands of kids around NYC.
