Event Description

HALF MARATHON:
Race starts at 6:55 AM PDT in downtown Monterey

• Open to 9,000 total entrants. Must be age 12 or older to register.
• The Half Marathon course is in Monterey and Pacific Grove, with most of it next to the beautiful Monterey Bay.  It is organized by the Big Sur International Marathon but is not held in Big Sur or on the Highway One Big Sur Marathon course.
• Must be 12 years of age or older and in good health to participate
• There is a 3 1/2 hour time limit (16 minutes per mile pace) that begins when last starter crosses start line timing mat
• Half Marathon participants will receive a technical fabric shirt in gender specific sizing
• Half Marathon runners will be corralled according to predicted finish time and start in waves. If you do not provide a time, we will assign you one in the last corral (3:06 – 3:30 hours)
• Bib tag timing for all participants. Cash awards are based on GUN, divisional awards on tag time. You are not eligible for an award if you are wearing an Ipod, per USATF rule 144.3
• Cash awards will be awarded to the top eight overall male and female finishers and top three masters males and females (age 40 and over). Divisional awards will go five deep in five year age groups to 80+ after 12-15 and 16-19. All official finishers receive a unique finisher's medallion. If you win a cash prize you are not eligible for divisional awards (no double dipping)
• Entry fee is NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE! No exceptions!  Registration Protector is available via Active.com.  Look for information on the payment page during registration
• No pets, wheels, pacers (except for Clif Bar Pace Team), selfie sticks, poles or baby joggers on the course

Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K:
• Date: Saturday, November 12, 2016
• Time: 8:30 a.m.
• Location: Lighthouse Avenue at Forest Avenue in downtown Pacific Grove
• Open to 1,000 entrants
• Must be 5 years of age or older and in good health to participate
• Awards are three deep in five year age groups after 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-15 and 16-19.  There is an overall award for the top male and female winners, and the top male and female masters winners (age 40 and over)
• Entry fee is NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE! No exceptions!

By the Bay Kids' 3K
• DATE: Saturday, November 12, 2016
• TIME: 8:00 a.m.
• LOCATION: Lighthouse Avenue at Forest Avenue in downtown Pacific Grove
• A 3K (approximate 2 mile) out and back course. This is a non-timed fun run for children, their friends, and family. All registrants receive a finisher’s medallion and a unique aquatic themed t-shirt. Must be age 4 or older to participate.

4/1 - 4/7:  $100 Adult age 18+, $90 Youth age 12 - 17
4/8 - 7/31:  $120 Adult, $110 Youth
8/1 - 9/30:  $130 Adult, $120 Youth
$10 Active Duty Military discount available (doesn't apply for spouses or dependents)

PACIFIC GROVE LIGHTHOUSE 5K:

START TIME:  8:30 AM PST
START PLACE:  Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove, CA
FINISH PLACE:  Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove.  Post-race activities follow the race.

4/1-10/15:  $30 Adults 18+
                  $20 Youth 5-17

10/16-11/7:  $35 Adults 18+
                      $20 youth 5-17
Active Military can take a $5 discount.  Not applicable to spouses or dependents
