About our run

Joint Base Lewis-McChord is hosting our Annual Down and Dirty Mud Run on 12 May 2018! Check out our signature obstacles! Runners beware, you WILL get Dirty. With over 3 Miles of mud, waterholes, dirt walls, low crawls, and more; you’re sure to leave this event with a smile and memories to last a lifetime.

The Spartan is coming to Washington State this summer, how will you prepare? Try our low-cost Down and Dirty Mud Run and obstacle course! This event will feature many different obstacles’, but here are just a few examples; The Down-Low Crawl, Sludge Slide, Mucky Bars, Off-Road Tire Trail, and the Murky Plunge. This is much more than your average run/obstacle course! Enjoy selfie booths, sponsorship activities, and giveaways. Dressing up is ALWAYS encouraged! Chances to win awesome prizes just by signing up, and a Down and Dirty Mud Party isn’t complete without music! Enjoy our Country theme musical event while you wait for your heat or spectate. 
 
Registration gives optional start times of 1100/1130/1200

Start and Finish will be at Soldiers Field House just off of Pendleton on 2nd Division Ave. on JBLM-Lewis Main. 

Civilians wishing to participate- please look into the Real ID Act published May 1st. You must have an approved form of ID in order to access the Installation. If you have a friend/family member who can sponsor you onto the installation (drive you through the gate and to the event) then you may access the Installation with a general Washington ID. Last day to register and be vetted for individual access is 02 May 2018.
