It's an Orange County tradition!
Now in its 28th year, the Dinosaur Dash is a community run, walk, and bike event benefiting the Tustin Public Schools Foundation. New for 2018 is a Half-Marathon, joining a 10K, 5K, and non-timed 2K Fun Run and non-timed Bike Tours for all riding levels (50K, 15K, and a family-friendly 5K).
Half-Marathon finishers will receive a giant 6-inch Inaugural Half for the Dash medal. Commemorative Dino Dash medals will also go to 10K run, 5K run, and 15/50K bike finishers. Male and female winners in each age division of the Half, 10K, and 5K will receive the official Dino Dash trophy and gift cards to The Market Place and DICKS Sporting Goods. Second- and third-place Half finishers will receive a commemorative gift; second- and third-place 10K and 5K finishers will receive a medal. The 2k Fun Run is not timed, but all finishers will receive a commemorative wristband.
The 50k bike tour is tours Santiago Canyon from the City of Orange side to Foothill Ranch. Riders will skirt the old El Toro Marine Base and the Great Park before returning to The Market Place in Tustin. This tour is recommended for riders age 13 and up. A shorter 15k bike tour will also be available, as will a family-friendly 5K tour on closed roads.
A free family Expo will be open 7 a.m.-11 a.m. The Expo will offer activities, school fundraising booths, exhibitors and a Food Court featuring bites from local restaurants such as Famous Dave's BBQ, Texas de Brazil, and Zov's.
The Tustin Public Schools Foundation is a charitable organization that supports the students and teachers of Tustin Unified's 30 schools by funding grants, scholarships, and enrichment programs such as after-school sports, robotics, college readiness, Tustin Summer Academy, and more.

6:15 am - Bike Valet Opens
6:15 am - Chip-timed Half Marathon and 10K Begin (near Auto Center Dr. and El Camino Real)
6:45 am - Bike Tour Begins: 5K/15K/50K
7:00 am - Dino Dash Expo Opens
7:15 am - 10K Chip-Timed Run Begins
8:00 am - Food Court Opens
8:30 am - 5K Chip-Timed Run Begins
9:30 am - 2K Fun Run Begins (non-timed)
10:30 am - Event Ends
