Event Description

Strides for Scholars is a 5K and Fun Run for anyone looking to work off those last holiday pounds. Sponsored by Thrivent Financial and the Bay Education Foundation, this event supports the Foundation's Take Stock in Children program, providing scholarships, mentors, and hope to local students.  Join us after the race for a complimentary awards brunch at the Nelson Building, where top runners in each category receive ribbons.  Overall Male/Female, Master Male/Female, Grandmaster Male/Female also awarded.  All Fun Run participants receive an award.

Event details and schedule

The race site is the St. Andews site established by the City of Panama City, starting on 10th and Balboa Avenue.

Race packets can be picked up on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 or Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 6:30-7:30 at the Nelson Building, 1311 Balboa Avenue.  Brunch will be served and awards given at the Nelson Building immediately after the conclusion of the Fun Run (which will start after all 5k runners have started). NO ONSITE REGISTRATION.  NO BICYCLES.
