Event Description
Description
The Junior Lifeguard Program will provide participants with water safety, public relations, facility operations, basic work skills, lifeguarding skills, and basic first aid and CPR. Participants will spend time shadowing lifeguards and swim instructors to gain knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to become a YMCA lifeguard.
In order to meet the rigorous physical demands of the Jr. Lifeguarding program, participants must be able to swim 100 meters and tread water for 1 minute prior to their first class. If you are not able to meet these requirements, we recommend you sign up for group or private swim lessons at the "Fish" level.
