The Rwanda Girls Initiative (RGI) was founded in 2009 by Shalisan "Shal" Foster and Suzanne "Soozi" Sinegal McGill, with the vision of providing an education to whom it is not easily accessible.
In May of 2017 I (Sophie Sharp) had the chance to visit Rwanda and it changed my life. I am an 8th grade student at St. Thomas School and I’m organizing this fun run to raise money for Rwanda Girls Initiative
The mission of Rwanda Girls Initiative is to empower girls of Rwanda to reach their highest potential. Their vision is to create a world where all children, regardless of country of origin, will be socially, emotionally and intellectually prepared to succeed in school, life and in their community.
