Event Description

Celebrate America's birthday by running a 5k or 10k!

On July 1st, we're hosting the Independence Run, a running event to celebrate the 242nd birthday of the United States of America!

This is a 5k walk/run, and 10k run.  Both events are timed and every bib will have a timing chip.  Finishers get a race t-shirt, and a custom medal.  If you've ever ran one of our races, then you know our medals are AWESOME!

This course utilizes the Al Lopez Park large and small loop.

What do I get?

Every finisher will receive a medal, t-shirt, an opportunity to interact with local sponsors, and an epic great time.

• A custom medal (image to be posted at a later date).
• Race t-shirt.
• Free access to race photos.
• A certified time.
• Food for purchase!
• Face painters!

What's Allowed?

• Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed on this course, but participants MUST stay to the right of the path to allow for passers.
• Service animals.
• Headphones are authorized, but we ask that you keep to a volume that allows you to hear race and park officials.

What's NOT Allowed?

• Pets (except certified service animals).
• Double-wide (or wider) strollers.  At some points on the course, the path isn't wide enough for three adults.
• Skateboards, bicycles, tricycles, skates, etc...
• Bandits. If you're not wearing a bib at the finish line, you won't get a medal!

Registration

There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS!  Our timing company pulls the last list of runners at midnight prior to race day morning.  Registration for this event ends at 11:59pm on June 30th.
