Event Description
Perched on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, Pacific Grove is a triathletes paradise. With gorgeous coastal views along all parts of the race course you won't find a more spectator and athlete friendly venue. First timers will love the course and veterans enjoy the challenge of a fast time.
Start your race at Lover's Point beach with a protected ocean swim. Waves won't toss you around here. Next up is a fast, flat and looped bike course. Saddle up and put the hammer down. Winds along this section either go out with you from transition or assist you on the way back...either way drop down on your aerobars and go with it. Your friends and family will be able to cheer you on with each loop (4 for Olympic Distance and 2 for Sprint Distance). The final stretch of the course heads down towards the Monterey Bay Aquarium. A flat recreation trail down and streets on the way back are perfect to shake out the legs and get into stride. Before you know it the race is over and if you plan well, this can be a fast, personal best friendly event.
