Event Description

REQUIREMENT: certification at any velodrome.
If you have not been certified for velodrome racing then you may attend any one of the training sessions at the Encino Velodrome including same day certification on the morning of the event. Please check the Encino Velodrome Facebook page for more information https://www.facebook.com/encinovelo/. Anyone who has a cert at a velodrome already but who does not have one for Encino will NOT need to get an Encino cert.

Mens and Womens Divisions
All racers accumulate points determined
by total field size per round in 1 pt increments
(Example: If total field size = 16 then 1st = 16pts, 2nd = 15pts, 3rd = 14pts etc)

Round 1 - Flying 200 Qualifiers
Top 48 Times advance to Round 2

Round 2 - 20 Lap Scratch Race
Groups divided evenly up to 3 groups @ 16 racers max per group
Group A - All racers advance to Round 3
Group B - Top 3 advance to Round 3
Group C - Winner advances to Round 3

Round 3 - Miss N Out
Up to 40 laps (determined by field size)
Last place riders eliminated every other lap

Top 4 overall points earners advance to Finale

Finale - Match Sprint Elimination
1st vs 3rd; 2nd vs 4th
Winners advance to champion match sprint
Losers advance to 3rd place match sprint
