Event Description
Main Line Animal Rescue invites you to join 500+ riders for our 3rd annual Gran Fondo Cycling Event presented by Audi West Chester on Saturday, October 6, 2018. The MLAR Gran Fondo will start and finish at Pickering Meade Farm in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, the 60 acre home to Main Line Animal Rescue. Riders have a choice of four amazing rides on the beautiful country roads of Chester County, PA that include four timed climbs and have been designed for all cyclists: recreational, intermediate, and advanced. Most of all, it is designed to be fun! Well-stocked rest-stops with cheering squads make it even more enjoyable. Stay for the huge after-party with an awards ceremony, great food and beer, a live band, raffles, games, and a meet and greet with adoptable dogs.

THE RIDES:
100K: (approximately 62 miles) Intermediate to advanced riders with four timed climbs; offers 4,403 ft of climb.
50K: (approximately 31 miles) Intermediate to advanced riders with two timed climbs; offers 2,012 ft of climb.
40K: (approximately 25 miles) Recreational to intermediate riders with two timed climbs; offers 1, 683 ft of climb.
15K: (approximately 9 miles) Recreational riders with one timed climb; offers 730 ft of climb.
REGISTRATION:
Registration Fee: $85 until September 17th (includes free long-sleeved t-shirt)
Registration Fee Sep. 17th to Oct. 3rd: $95
Registration Fee Oct. 4th to Oct. 6th: $105 (day of registration is permitted
After-Party Ticket Only: $25, children 12 and under are free (all ride registrations include After-Party Ticket)
Custom, Limited Edition Cycling Jersey: $85 (order by August 11th to receive yours in time for the Gran Fondo)
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Main Line Animal Rescue has never charged an adoption fee and receives no state or federal funding. All proceeds from the Gran Fondo go directly to the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, unwanted, and abandoned animals. 6:15 AM: Check-In and packet pick-up opens
7:10 – 7:30 AM: Opening ceremonies
7:30 AM: 100K ride starts
9:00 AM: 50K ride starts
10:00 AM: 40K ride starts
10:30 AM: 15K ride starts
11:30 AM: After-party begins
1:15 PM: Award ceremony and Main Line Animal Rescue presentation
2:30 PM: Ride support ends, all riders must be off the road
4:00 PM: Event ends
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must be 13 or older to participate.
