Laurel Hill Adventure Race

Adventure Race is 1 hour from Pittsburgh
The will be 3 races. There will be a Sport class & Unlimited Class. The Sport class will be under 16ft. and the Unlimited Class will be open to any size kayak. There is also a SUP class. All 3 races start at the same time. The Adventure Race is a form of a Triathon but replacing the swim with a kayak or SUP race.
The Unlimited Class (any kayak length)will be a 2 Mile Kayak, 12 Mile Moutain Bike, 5K Run.
The Sport Class (under 16ft kayak) will be a 2 Mile Kayak, 8 Mile Mountain Bike, 5K Run.
The SUP class will be a 2 Mile Kayak, 8 Mile Mountain Bike, 5K Run.

The Laurel Hill Adventure Race is a fund raiser that benefits The Friends of Laurel Hill State Park Complex.
This race is in memory of Janice Boyko. Janice was a strong and supportive member of the Friends of Laurel Hill. She had always envisioned an adventure type race in the park and we are trying to make that vision a reality.
The Friends of Laurel Hill State Park Complex, (Laurel Hill-Kooser-Laurel Ridge State Parks), is a non-profit volunteer organization composed of members who share a love for the parks and are motivated to share their time and talent. Our mission is to contribute to the park by helping maintain trails and facilities, assisting with special projects by raising funds to improve the park's recreation, environmental education, and interpretive programs.
Event schedule and times
Day of race packet pickup 6:30am - 8:00 at the transition area near the lake beach.
Race starts at 8:30am
Post race party and awards following the last participant in.
