Event Description

If you love running on beautifully paved, scenic trails while donning your favorite Super Hero costume – have we got the run for you!

The 11th Annual Friendship Walk and (newly added) 5K Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 22nd and will run its course along a portion of the 23-mile Centennial Trail in Arlington, Washington. The 5K course will begin and end at Legion Park in picturesque Snohomish County and take runners (casually or competitively) along several different vistas including tree-lined and water view sections of the trail.

The event is fun for the entire family and open to runners of all levels with EVERY penny supporting Voices of the Village, a client-based performance ensemble band affiliated with Village Community Services, a 501c3 non-profit organization that supports individuals living with disabilities.

Upon arrival (in your best Super Hero costume or not!), you’ll be greeted by the upbeat sounds of the Voices of the Village band – which will play throughout the event to keep your energy up and spirits high! Race-appropriate food and beverage will be available for runners (and walkers) while a food truck will also be there to appease larger cravings before and after the run.

Register early to secure your “early bird” registration AND your Voices of the Village t-shirt (or hat…or water bottle…whatever your preference) as sizes and quantities are limited to a first come, first serve basis.

Come be our Super Hero, support a great community cause, and have a whole lot of fun while you’re doing it!
