About This Event
The Running Wild 5K Run is professionally chip-timed with disposable chips on park wooded and open field trails, park roads, grass and gravel. The 3K Wacky Scavenger Hunt Walk is on similar, relatively flat surfaces. Proceeds benefit park facilities, programs and bus transportation to the parks for school programs. (Three registrations fund a school bus!) Free food and beverages will be available after the race for registered participants. Event includes awards for the top 3 finishers in each age category, disposable chip timers, and t-shirts for pre-registered participants! Dogs allowed on 6-ft leash for the WALK ONLY. Individuals or families with leashed dogs will begin at the back of the walk start. The event is organized by the St. Joseph County Parks Foundation, Friends of Bendix Woods and Spicer Lake and St. Joseph County Parks.
Be Aware: The Park trails contain unmarked tree roots, loose gravel and ruts and may be muddy or slick. Participants are cautioned to keep your eyes on the trail and be aware of your footing.

Event Times
Early packet pickup will take place on Friday, August 17 from 4:30-6:30 pm in the Red Barn.
Day of Event registration and packet pick up: 8 am – 8:45 am Aug. 18 at event site.
Race time-9:00 am.

**If you register after Aug. 12, you will not be able to order a T-shirt. Registration must be made by Aug. 12, 2018 for T-shirts to be guaranteed.**

Order Tee Shirts Separately for $9.00 ($11.00 for XXL/XXXL). To guarantee a shirt, you must register by Aug. 12 and order a shirt at the time you register.

Race T-Shirts
** In order to keep race costs down we will only order a limited number of shirts available for purchase the day of the race, and they will be for sale, first come-first serve.**

Awards and Giveaways
The top three male and female runners in each age category, the top Overall male and female and the top Overall male and female Masters category (50 yrs +), will receive a custom “2018 Running Wild” medal and Bendix Woods County Park maple syrup. All 3K Walk participants will receive an official Certificate of Completion and a handcrafted, collectible Running Wild participation medal. Children will also be able to pick a fun nature prize. All event participants will have the chance to win random prizes from great local vendors.
