Event Description
If you haven't been to La Veta's Oktoberfest, you're missing a great event! Held each year the first Saturday of October, Oktoberfest includes a car show, German band, dancing in the street all day long, over 60 arts, crafts, and food vendors, a Veteran's tribute, and a German Biergarten. Festivities begin at 10 am.
But why wait until 10 am for the fun to begin? This year the La Veta/Cuchara Chamber of Commerce is again holding a 5k fun run/walk at 8:00. The run begins and ends in La Veta Town Park. La Veta is nestled in the Cuchara Valley under the majestic Spanish Peaks, a pair of prominent mountains located in soutwestern Huerfano County.
