Event Description
Run Like A Girl 10 Mile-10K-5K is the only ALL WOMEN'S event of its kind in Central Ohio. On September 29, 2018 Ultrafit-USA will stage the 5th annual RUN LIKE A GIRL event at Genoa Park overlooking the lovely Columbus skyline.
RACE DATE: September 29th, 2018
RACE ADDRESS: 303 W Broad St, Columbus, Ohio 43026 (Genoa Park)
RACE START TIMES: Kids Run 8:30am and 10 Miler/10K/5K @ 9am
PACKET PICK-UP: OPENS on Wednesday, September 26th through Friday, September 28th at 4pm at The Columbus Running Company. For your convenience, you can choose any of their 4 Central Ohio locations. CRC hours are 10am - 8pm Wednesday & Thursday and as aforementioned, 10am - 4pm on Friday, September 28th. If you are unable to pick-up in advance, we will be at the race venue, Genoa Park, from 7:30am - 8:45am on race morning.
COURSE MAPS: The 2018 race will feature a great course for all three distances. Each race will begin and finish at Genoa Park. Course maps are pending approval and will be available at www.runlikeagirlcolumbus.com upon final approvals from the City of Columbus.
PARKING: There is convenient parking at COSI and surrounding lots with a paid fee. There are also meters around the venue and ample parking around Genoa Park. For more information, please visit: http://www.sciotomile.com/parking
AWARDS: The top three finishers in each event will qualify for finisher awards: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+, Walkers. Results will be posted LIVE as you finish the race, final results will be made official within 24 hours. If you qualify for an award please e-mail linda@ultrafit-usa.com by 10/6/2018 if you would like your personalized plaque. After the awards are produced, Central Ohio winners may pick up at Columbus Running Company Dublin location while winners outside of Central Ohio will be mailed!
MORE AWARDS: All finishers will receive a custom medal as they cross the finish line. In addition, all finishers will receive a bottle of wine which will be found in the wine tent just past the finish line. You won't miss it, as there will be men and women in tuxes there to serve you!
RESULTS: As soon as you cross the finish line, you may view your time at https://runsignup.com/Race/OH/Columbus/RunLikeAGirlHalfMarathon10K5K official results will be published within 24 hours of the finish.
CHANGE in DISTANCE: Should you decide to change your event, i.e. 10 Mile to 10K, 10K to 10 Mile, 10K to 5K, please email linda@ultrafit-usa.com before NOON on Friday, September 28th. On race day if you decide to change your distance please stop by the registration tent so you may ensure your finish time is accurately recorded and so that other racers will not have their rankings posted incorrectly.
WATER STATIONS: Water stations which include Gatorade will be available every 2-2.5 miles on the course.
DOGS: Dogs on leashes are welcome at the race, we only ask that you line up at the back of the group for the safety of all participants.
STROLLERS: Strollers are very welcome at the race, we only ask that you line up at the back of the group for the safety of all participants.
HEADPHONES: Permitted.
PORTA POTTIES: Porta 'Jane's' will be available at the start/finish line and will be available on the course.
