The Scio Scramble is one of the oldest road races in the Ohio Valley dating back to the early 80s. It's and out and back 5k road race held on the opening night of the Annual Scio Fall Festival on August 8, 2018 with the kids 1 mile fun run starting at 6:15 pm and the 5k following at 7:00 pm. It's an out and back course on paved roads starting in front of the firehouse and ending up town in front of the main stage. There are two water stops along the race course one on the way out and one coming back. Registration and packet pick-up is held at the firehouse where there is plenty of parking and indoor restrooms. Showers are also available. Awards are also at the firehouse after the 5k. Overall and age group awards for runners and walkers in the 5k (male and female) and age group awards for the fun run. Beverages and ice cream for all participants available at the firehouse afterwards.
