THE EMPOWERMENT CENTER MEETS THE IMMEDIATE NEED FOR FOOD OF THE NEEDIEST MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY AND GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME SELF SUFFICIENT THROUGH EMPLOYMENT AND CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.
WE ARE EXPANDING HUMAN POTENTIAL AND QUALITY OF LIFE WITH A 100% VOLUNTEER STAFF SINCE 2003.
IT ALL BEGAN WITH THE NEEDIEST PEOPLE MAKING A QUALITY DECISION TO HELP US SERVE OTHER NEEDY PEOPLE WHILE GETTING THEIR NEEDS MET.
With a 100% volunteer staff including supervisors and managers we have reach our maximum capability to put people to work and diverting many of them from homelessness, because of the turn over of the leaders we train going to work!!
But With three part-time paid positions we can increase the number served from 85 people per year towards our goal of 500 people per year, which is seriously needed to reverse and prevent more people from homelessness.
To help obtain the funding needed to pay the part-time staff we are holding a 5K Fun Run/Walk Race on August 18th.
Your participation will help us expand our ability to provide food, hope, dignity and a pathway out of poverty through employment.
