September 15th is World Afro Day, a global day of change, education and celebration of Afro hair, culture and identity. Since Afro-hair is rarely celebrated, the Afro Chicks Run will help change this narrative and create a platform to celebrate and educate people about Afro hair.
In Celebration World Afro Day in Houston, IAmQueen and MAD Movement created the Afro Chick Run/Walk 5k. We are bringing some real Afro Curly girl magic and everyone is welcomed! Join us in celebrating the 2nd Annual World Afro Day Houston.
This is not your average 5k, there will be a 1-mile fun run for the kids, A mini work-out with Wifeylife Fitness, Healthy Organic food options from Julia Cooks Organic Food Truck, and a host of vendor and activities focused on heath, wellness and beauty. Join us for this exciting celebration and block party on September 14th from 7am to 1pm at TC Jester Park 4201 T C Jester Boulevard Houston, TX.
