Event Description

The short story is that this ride is open to the public and a fundraiser for God's Love We Deliver. To encourage riders with all levels of experience we proudly feature 2 courses here in New York City - 100 miles and 35 miles. There's no entrance fee BUT you need to raise money via Crowdrise (or use your credit card to donate) and the suggested minimum is $1,000. The average rider raised $2,600 last year. Don't worry, we don't charge your card if you don't reach your goal but you must fundraise in order to ride. Raise some money - you'll feel amazing afterwards!

We have marked courses (also available on mapmyride) complete with staffed rest stops with snacks and drinks, a bike mechanic and support vehicles and a hearty rider appreciation dinner after the ride! Please join us!

Whilst sitting at his desk back in the summer of 2011, ride founder Max Dobens decided that it would be a good idea to ride his bike 100 miles to the annual Douglas Elliman sales meeting in Atlantic City. Having never ridden more than 70 miles before, he felt compelled to lead by example showing the agents that they should push themselves and do something that they felt uncomfortable doing to help them improve. That year he raised $3,508 riding alone.

In 2018, we have opened up the ride to the general public and are looking forward to the 6th annual ride having raised more than $650,000 from over 150 total riders so far.

God's Love We Deliver is the New York metropolitan area's leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God's Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of their Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. All of the agency's services are provided free of charge. For more information visit www.glwd.org.
