Event Description

XTERRA Buffalo Creek is one of the best overall venues and courses on the entire XTERRA Circuit, with the long mountain bike on a IMBA Epic rated trail system!

The swim will start off with a 1500m Swim in the clear waters of Lake Wellington, then it's off on a 22 mile mountain bike ride. If we had a scale with XTERRA Lory falling on the left side as beginner friendly, and XTERRA Curty Gowdy on the right side as more advanced, XTERRA Buffalo Creek would fall right in the middle. Double track, a few jeep roads, and some IMBA Epic rated Single Track comprise one of the longer routes on the circuit.

After the bike ride athletes will begin a 5 mile run on hilly terrain that circumnavigates the Lake before cruising through the finish chute by the transition area.
