Event Description
Welcome to the first annual Slate Valley Brew Run, an exciting new event featuring 5K and 10K races in Granville, N.Y. The Brew Run benefits the Haynes House of Hope, a two-bed comfort care home for the terminally ill in Granville.
We have partnered with the Slate Town Brewing Company, who will serve over-21 participants a free pint after the race, and Hicks Orchard, who will have their cider available as well. The first 125 registrants will receive a free pint glass with the race logo.
Awards for first place male and female in each race, plus age group awards for each race.
Walkers are welcome! Create a team with your co-workers or your family as you support the Haynes House of Hope.
Pre-registration fee for the 5K is $25; pre-gistration for the 10K is $30. (available until Oct. 3).
Online registration is only available until Oct. 3.
Race Day registration will be $30 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K.
Course Descriptions:
5K: The 5K is a mostly flat course that starts at Veterans Park in Granville, travels over village streets and to the Rail Trail. There is very slight hill at about the half way point, and a slight uphill toward Main Street near the finish.
10K: The 10K is a mostly flat course that travels from Veterans Park in Granville and heads out to Vermont Route 30 via Potter Ave./Button Falls Road. The course returns to Granville from Route 30 on Route 149, the picks up the 5K portion of the route w ith the Rail Trail. There is one slight rise on Route 149 and the same slight hill on North Street in Granville as the 5K.
Event details and schedule
- Packet Pick-up from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. for the 10K
- 10K start is at 8:30 a.m. at Veterans Park
- Packet Pick-up from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for the 5K
- 5K start is at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park
- Kids 1-mile run starts at 9 a.m. at Veterans Park
- Please note that strollers are allowed on the course, but dogs are not allowed on the course during the race.
