Christopher Coffland Memorial Fund (d/b/a Catch A Lift or "CAL")  is a Charity Partner for STAR WARS™ Rival Run Weekend on April 4th through 7th 2019. 

CAL's mission is to assist veterans injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars to improve their lives and mental health through physical fitness and rehabilitation!

The funds raised from runners, donors and enthusiasts like you will be used to purchase gym memberships, in-home gym equipment and other fitness and rehabilitation equipment.

Challenge yourself to the ultimate test with the STAR WARS™ Rival Run Challenge combining the STAR WARS™ Rival Run 10K and Rival Run Half Marathon. • STAR WARS™ Rival Run Challange - Put the Force to work for you in this amazing test of strength and endurance that combines the Star Wars Rival Run 10K on Saturday with the Star Wars Rival Run Half Marathon on Sunday. Runners who finish both races are awarded the Star Wars Rival Run Challenge Finisher Medal in addition to the Half Marathon and 10K Finisher Medals. {You must register for the Star Wars Rival Run Challenge in order to receive the Star Wars Rival Run Challenge Medal upon completion of the 10K and Half Marathon within the pacing requirements. Registering for the 10K and Half Marathon individually will not make you eligible to receive the Star Wars Rival Run Challenge Finisher Medal. }

• STAR WARS™ Rival Run Half Marathon – Get ready for a Star Wars journey like no other. Whether you run for the light or run for the dark, you'll feel the Force on this incredible course through Walt Disney World^® Resort. You'll meet some of your favorite Star Wars characters on course as you race to the epic finish to earn the coveted Star Wars Rival Run Half Marathon Medal.

• STAR WARS™ Rival Run 10K - There's no escaping the fun and excitement of the Star Wars Rival Run 10K. This 6.2-mile course through the Walt Disney World® Resort includes thrilling sights, amazing surprises, Disney entertainment and plenty of Star Wars excitement. Take home a one-of-a-kind Star Wars Rival Run 10K Finisher Medal! It's a breathtaking run and a perfect course for runners of all levels.

• STAR WARS™ Rival Run 5K - Bring the whole family for a fantastic Star Wars Rival Run 5K adventure through the Walt Disney World® Resort. You'll encounter some of your favorite Star Wars characters along this 3.1-mile run chock full of spectacular sights, lots of surprises, Disney entertainment and plenty of Star Wars fun. 

Event details and schedule

Disney Requirments: Disney requires that all participants greater than 90 miles from Orlando book a Two Night Minimum Hotel Stay with 2 Day Park Tickets, If you are within a 90 mile radius this requirement is reduced to One Night/One Day Ticket. We have partnered with Sara Bergman of Park and Preston Travel to make this the easiest possible experience ever for you. Conditional Terms -
Your bib is conditioned on the following new terms that are required for all charities participating in Disney race events:

 1 - if you do not live within 90 miles of Orlando, you WILL need to stay at a Disney resort (including Shades of Green) for two nights during the race weekend, and will need to purchase 1 2-day park ticket or 2 1-day park tickets. Each race participant and those sharing a room will need to purchase a minimum of a 2-day park hopper.

2- If you live within 90 miles of Orlando, you do not need to stay at a Disney but WILL need to purchase a theme park ticket.

3 - All reservations and park ticket purchases through our the Disney designated travel agenct Sarah Bergman. 

There are a number of exceptions to the above general rules:

- If you are an annual passholder, please provide the pass-holder number to Sarah and us at the time of your registration.

- if you are a DVC member, you can make your bookings directly with DVC. 

CAL's Minimum Fundraising Requirement:

In addition to the race registration fees, you are required to raise at least the Minimum Fundraising Requirements applicable for your applicable registration.  

 
The minimum fund raising requirement is due March 14, 2019 regardless of your participation in the races. If not received before then, CAL will charge your credit card the difference between the minimum required and your amount raised or you will not receive your packet from at the Expo. 

CAL will notify you of the amount prior to the deficit charge.

Included in Your Registration

In addition to what Event offers you for your selected race (see http://www.rundisney.com/star-wars-wdw-half-marathon/), CAL will provide the following to you:

•  1 shirt – a technical training shirt 
• Invite to the CAL Race Team's social for this event

• CAL has access to a limited number of specially priced Hotel Rooms at Walt Disney World Resort.  To reserve a room, please coordinate with the team's travel agent.

  If you are purchasing theme park tickets,  please coordinate with the team's travel agent.

Packet Pick-Up - You pick up you runDisney race bib, participant shirt and gEar bag at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo and CAL will mail you the CAL package before your trip.

Payment Methods

• ALL PAYMENTS ARE FINAL AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

• All race registration are paid through this website and upon registration, CAL will send you a confirmation email
  
  

• Fundraising payments may be made by you or your donors online using the link to your fundraising page that you should receive in your confirmation email. 

• Alternatively, at the CAL website www.catchaliftfund.com or by check payable to the Catch A Lift Fund sent to P.O. Box 39622, Baltimore, MD 21212, in each case with a note stating that the donation is made on your behalf.

  Incentive Program (requirements must be met on or before March 14, 2019)
  CAL greatly appreciates your fundraising efforts and offers the following incentives to those who exceed the minimum requirements by the amounts set forth below:

• $1000 above the race minimum - $100 Gift Card

• $2000 above the race minimum - $200 Gift Card

• $3000 above the race minimum - $300 Gift Card
