Event Description

The 2017 Foot Pursuit 5K/10K is presented by the Sierra Vista Police Officers' Association and Event Horizon Experience. The Foot Pursuit 5K/10K is Sierra Vista's largest running race, but it's not just a running race, it's a community event that brings citizens shoulder-to-shoulder with local law enforcement professionals with the like-minded goal of getting healthy and having a lot of fun!  Together with our partners, the Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona, Fresh, Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative, Culver's, Premier Alliances, Lawley's Automotive Group, Huachuca Lodge #28 of the Fraternal Order of Police, Target, Lowe's, and DJ V with Urban Entertainment, this year's event will be bigger and better than ever!!

The Foot Pursuit is comprised of 5K and 10K running races, a 2-mile non-competitive fun run/walk, and a free kid's race.

Since this year's event is a couple of days before Halloween, we strongly encourage all participants to wear a costume. For those of you who have participated in our race in the past, you know that we give GREAT prizes for BEST COSTUME!!

We will again be offering performance tech tees in men's and women's specific styles/sizes for all 10K, 5K, and 2 mile participants who register by October 13th. We will try to accommodate participants who register after October 13th, but no guarantees.

All events start and finish at the Huachuca Mountain Elementary School.  Sections of both the 5K course and 10K course follow the scenic Garden Canyon Linear Park Trail, which is a singletrack dirt trail that is not suitable for pets or strollers.  As a result, pets or strollers are prohibited in the running race.
