Event Description

The High Mountain Half marathon is the perfect fall race to escape the high temps of the lower elevations and plan a cool, relaxing destination race vacation. It is also a great training race for a fall marathon.  The half marathon course is a point to point race where runners will be bused from Blue Ridge High School starting at 5am for a cool, crisp 6:30am start time.  Runners will be surrounded by beautiful cedar and pine trees as they travel down Porter Mountain road and into the town of Pinetop/Lakeside finishing up at Blue Ridge High School track.  There will be plenty of Pre race activities on Friday night as well as fun family activities at the finish line an evening festivities around town.

If a youth wishes to join a team that has not already been set up by an adult they will need to have one set up for them.   Coaches, or another person over the age of 18, must go to the registration page and register under "non participating team captain" to set up new youth team.  This is free of charge.  Youth may then select their team from the pull down menu.  In addition, any coach wishing to run with their youth team may contact me after setting up their team with registered runners and recieve a one time use discount code to register themselves with the same youth pricing.  Adult teams can be created by any adult.  The person to create the team is the "captain".  You may contact the race director to change your "captain".  Once a team is created it will be available for any registrant to join.  Teams can be made up of both adults and youth and runners of all distances.  The only exception are those participating in the relay.  They form their own 2 man teams.  The race director can be contacted at heidileagarner@hotmail.com
