Event Description
Runners and walkers, come join us for O.U.R. Phoenix Rescue Run Sponsored by Knight Transportation and Sanctioned by USATF to kickoff your fall racing season! Course begins on smooth High School track and exits to nearby Scenic Park on a flat and fast, straight 5k course before ending a final lap on the track. Family and Stroller friendly. Race t-shirts and custom medals given to every participant who completes the 5k with prizes awarded to the top finishers in each category. Categories are as follows: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Male and Female Overall Finishers and 1st Place Overall Male and Female in Age Groups: 12-19,20-29,30-39,40-49,50-59,60+.
Following the 5k, a 1-mile Kids Run will be held on the track with each participant receiving a medal.
Phoenix is known for perfect running weather in October with lows in the 60’s and highs in the mid 80’s. All proceeds will directly benefit Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue children from sex slavery. Please come join us for a worthy cause and maybe attain a Personal Record in the process!

-Kids Run Participants will receive a Race Bib and Medal AND will be able to participate in the Kids Zone provided by our Sponsor, Knight Academy. Kids wearing their Race Bib and signed in by a parent can have fun jumping on inflatables, face painting, balloon making, coloring, etc. while they are waiting for their parents to run their 5k and before and after they run their own race!
Virtual 5k Participants:
For those out of the area, come participate virtually! As a Virtual Runner you will choose a 5k course on your own and run it in behalf and support of Operation Underground Railroad. You can choose to complete your Virtual Run on October 15th when the 5k Rescue Run will be held, or choose a day that is convenient for you. Your Race Bib and Custom Medal will be mailed to the address you provide.
When you have completed your 5k Virtual Run, be sure to update your Facebook and Instagram status letting your friends and family know of your accomplishment! Add the hashtag: #ourphoenixrescuevirtualrun

Pre-Race Day Registration Packet Pick Up: Friday, October 14th from 4-7pm at Tortoise and Hare Sports:17570 N 75th Ave #605, Glendale, AZ 85308
Race Day Packet Pick Up: 7:15am
5K Run Start Time: 8:00am
1-Mile Kids Run Start Time: 9:20am
Awards: 9:45am
*Free parking is available in the Millennium High School parking lot
*Water station provided along the course with water and snacks at the finish.
Don't forget to bring your ID for packet pick up and to sign your child into the Kids Corner (must be wearing a Kids Run Bib). Also bring money for the food trucks following the run and be sure to enjoy the Finish Line Festivities! Stick around to celebrate your run and this great cause as you snap your picture in front of the O.U.R. backdrop, listen to great music, visit the Sponsor Booths, give a hand to the runners coming in, cheer on the Kids Run participants, and congratulate the winners at the Awards Ceremony!
