All abilities event, FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Strollers and wheelchairs welcome.
Learn more about horseback therapy, meet the unique Norwegian Fjord therapy horses, visit the other ranch residents, watch the kids run the Tot Trot... so much to do!
The Chehalem Challenge is a benefit fundraising event to support Chehalem Mountain Therapy Riding Center Inc which provides horseback therapy riding for persons with special needs. Read more about CMTRCI at
Most importantly, The Chehalem Challenge is held in recognition of those in a truly challenging profession...the mothers of children with special needs. Where Strength, Discipline, and Endurance, are daily requirements.
Our hats are off to you ladies. For you are truly One. Tough. Mother.

Event details and schedule

7am packet pickup on race day September 10, 2016

7am : Day of event registration available

8am start for the "More Than" Half

8:30am Start for the 5K

9:00am Start for the Tot Trot 

Parking attendants will direct you where to park.  

Come relax prerace: coffee, tea, water, fruit available.

Stay post race for some yummy soup and sandwiches and see if you win a raffle prize!
