Event Description
Come and join the Southern California Explosive Ordnance Disposal community on Memorial Day as we run this scenic waterfront course in historic NTC Park. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the EOD Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping EOD technicians and their families overcome the challenges they face after an injury or loss.
This years event will feature: a 5k run/walk, a Junior EOD Warrior 1k, chip timing, a stroller division, t-shirts for 5k participants, overall and age group awards, a beer garden, food trucks, a silent auction and more.
Watch EOD Warriors run in the EOD bomb suit, a 75 lb modern day suit of armor designed to protect EOD Technicians from explosions, and compete in a relay race like no other! Cheer them on as they fight for bragging rights!

The Virtual Runner Category is back! Can't be in San Diego on Memorial Day for the race? This category is for you! Sign up as a Virtual Runner and we will ship you out a T-shirt and a Finishers Medal (while supplies last). Gather up your friends and run a 5k wherever you are in the world to show your support for the EOD Warrior Foundation! Sign up now, the Virtual Runner category will close on APRIL 13TH!

FAQs
Is a T-shirt included with registration?
T-shirts are included with all 5k and Virtual Runner categories. T-shirts will be available at packet pick-up locations. Event will include race day registration and packet pick-up but t-shirt availability and sizes cannot be guaranteed if you wait until race day. Junior EOD Warrior 1k entry does not include a t-shirt. Additional t-shirts are available for purchase during the registration process.
Will there be awards?
Awards will be given to overall winners in each 5k category (excluding Virtual Runners), age group winners in the 5k General Entry category and fastest team (based on average time of each team member).
Will there be Finishers Medals?
Of course! All 5k and Junior EOD Warrior 1k participants will receive Finishers Medals.
When is the Virtual Runner category deadline?
APRIL 13th. This will allow us to ship your t-shirt and finishers medal in time for race day.
What is the age limit for the Junior EOD Warrior 1k?
10. Parents are welcome to run with their children.
Can I sign up my child for the 5k?
Absolutely, children are welcome to sign up for the 5k with parent/guardian signature on the event waiver.
What time does the 5k start?
Race day registration and packet pick-up open at 7a. 5k start is 9a. Please visit the Event Details page of our website for a detailed schedule.
Where/when can I pick up my race packet?
Packet pick-up will be available prior to race day and on race day. Exact time and location is TBD. Please stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for details.
