Event Description

Help For Stroke (HFS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to prevent stroke and its recurrence as a public health and wellness partner for stroke survivors and caregivers. Founded by two-time stroke survivor, Richard Horton, HFS provides valuable stroke-related nutritional and lifestyle education, and healthcare information. Now in its third season, the Pasadena 5K Walk & Run for Stroke Prevention advances stroke awareness and supports stroke survivors and caregivers across the greater Los Angeles county and San Gabriel valley communities.

This year we are partnering with the city of Pasadena as the capstone event for Pasadena National Health Week during the week of April 1 – 6, 2019. The Greater Pasadena Health Department has a strong commitment to improving the quality of life of individuals living, working, and participating in its districts. Our 5K event and Health Fair kicks off our season of awareness and support as part of the National Stroke Awareness month. Together, we are creating communities that promote health.

Each participant will receive a race t-shirt, medal and swag/gift bag. Stay for the festivities that begin after the race.
