Event Description

Join us on Saturday, July 29th for the Black Squirrel Scurry Paddling Triathlon.

This is our annual event in conjunction with Ballyhoos Lobsterfest.  The Black Squirrel Scurry is a triathlon that features a 2 mile paddle down the Prairie River, a 17.5 mile bike ride featuring the River Bend Trail out to the countryside of Lincoln County (distance pending road construction), and a 5k trail run through the Merrill Area Rec Complex and Council Grounds State Park. Races include divisions for 19 and Under Relays, Relays, Tandems, and  Aged divisions for individuals.  We are also opening solo eBike and Relay eBike races. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the “Northwoods Veterans Post” and Friends of the River Bend Trail.  Timing is provided by T & H timing Services, LLC.  Registration will open March 1, 2023 at www.runsignup.com

Enjoy lunch, music and raffles at the site of the awards ceremony. 

Awards will be presented at Cenotaph Park (across from Ballyhoo’s) at approximately 1:30 PM.  For those interested, your preordered lobster will be ready to be served at 4:00 PM at Ballyhoo’s Lobsterfest.
