Event Description
Friends join on Sunday, December 29, 2019, the final weekend day of THE YEAR with a morning 5K walk/run at our annual LAST CHANCE RACE of the year at 9 a.m. at Caddy's Pub Indian Shores. The variety of medals offered which represent dozens of our annual races are the hit of this race every year! As you arrive at race check in you each get to pick a finisher's medal from a race you were not able to attend earlier in the year and run or walk 5K distance for the medal you are dying to have! THESE MEDALS ROCK!
Registration also includes your promotional race tech shirt, a free beer for everyone over age 21, and a food sampler at our post race party. Of course our 501c3 "FInish Lines For Scholarships" will be offering the LAST CHANCE RACES shirt on race morning for a small donation to the non profit if you are a collector or fan of race day shirts!
An email will go out later in race week with ALL the instructions you need for arrival and check in on race morning including your bib number and weekend waiver
This is our way to celebrate a year of great races with each of you! Come hydrated and happy because this is YOUR FINISH line and the mood is LIGHT!
This is an electronically timed 5K but no age group awards. Awards will be presented to the first 10 males and first 10 females across the finish line (and as always “some special categories ” )…..the rest of us will be out there in good fun in an electronically timed but non-competitive 3.1 mile run or walk Along the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail between Oceanview and Valley drive-in a north out and back flat fast 5K
The run is stroller friendly and open to the whole family.
Check in is race day only beginning at 8 a.m. at New England's Ale House.
An email will go out to all pre registered participants late in race week which will include your bib number assignment and parking instructions. We will see you race day as there is no pre race day packet pick up.

Event details and schedule
The LAST CHANCE Run of the year not only comes with great finisher's medals, the course is family friendly and takes place on the hard packed sand along the shoreline. The 5K will begin at 9 a.m. with check in opening as early as 8 am at the venue. The 5K is electronically timed for all finisher's who complete the 3.1 mile distance in under 59 minutes. Awards are presented at the post race party immediately following the 5K to the top 10 males and top 10 female finishers along with some special awards for particpating youth and seniors. This maintains our very laid back crowd of participants. We hope that you will race with us once a month in Tampa Bay by selecting any races you find available in your schedule offered at www.727CanRace.com The RACE LOCAL experience includes becoming a party of the Xanadu Family. We love to see you cross the finish line. If you find that you cannot attend on race day for any reason let us know and we'll mail your thing to you or email you a code to transfer to any other race on our event calendar.
