Event Description

USATF certified course and a BOSTON QUALIFIER.  Gradual 2000 foot net drop from start to finish with NOT ONE HILL on the whole course.  A potential PR and/or your last chance to qualify for Boston.  Jack and Jill starts through the coolest 2.5 mile tunnel.  We suggest that you wear a headlamp or carry a flashlight.  After you exit the tunnel, you can toss your flashlight or head lamp and volunteers will have them for you at the finish.  Enjoy a beautiful 'very gradual' downhill run for the next 24 miles on Washington's John Wayne Trail on a hard packed dirt road.  This is sure to be a favorite all time marathon.

Marathoners are encouraged to bring flashlights or headlamps for the tunnel portion of the run.  It is very dark and your safety is our number 1 concern.
