20th Annual Scrub Jay Races
Run for their Survival!
ALL finishers get Medals, Shirts, Timing, & Photos.

Early Packet Pick Up with store discounts & refreshments @ New Balance Sarasota, 1872 Stickney Point Road, Sarasota, Florida (941) 921-3696 on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 from 4-7PM.

Park opens 6:30 am - main drive will be closed at 7:55 am until approximately 9 am
PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID TRAFFIC CONGESTION
Place: Oscar Scherer State Park, 1843 S. Tamiami Trail (US41), Osprey, FL 34229
Race day registration & packet pick up: 6:45 am to 7:45 am
Race start time: All runners start @ 8AM

Age Based Registration Pricing until 11:59PM on 11.30.2019

5K/10K Ages 13 & under: $5 per person

5K/10K Ages 14-18: $15 per person

5K/10K Ages 19+: $35 per person (5K) $40 per person (10K)

Fees for everyone from 12.01.2019-01.10.2020

5K- $35 per person 10K $40 per person

Race Day Registration 01.11.2020

5K- $40 per person 10K- $45 per person

Course: Mostly packed sand and grass through the park’s rare, scrubby flat-woods, with a stretch on the paved Legacy Trail and a finisher's village in the park.

Water stations, Guides, Post-race refreshments, and lots of Door Prizes.
Six deep awards in all age groups plus Overall, Master, Grand Master, Senior Grand Master, and Veteran Grand Master.

Registration fees are non-refundable and not transferable.

Sponsorship and donations: The cost of this event is covered by the support of our loyal sponsors and a generous grant from Lee Wetherington Foundation, a Supporting Organization of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Inc.

Benefit: 100% of entrance fees and vendor contributions benefit the Friends of Oscar Scherer Park Inc and the Florida Scrub-Jay. Friends of Oscar Scherer Park Inc: Support the park through charitable, scientific, literary and educational functions, and through programs, activities, and fundraising to foster awareness of its importance as an environmental and recreational asset and to assist in conserving its natural and cultural resources.
