Event Description
Five years ago the Kiwanis Club of Palmdale West organized 5Klicks To Home to assist 30 local high school students who took the “OATH” and dedicated themselves to raising the funds required to build an accessible “Smart Home” for a local warrior who was severely wounded in Iraq. The students achieved their goal and handed over the keys to the home in May, 2015. Although the student organization has now been dissolved, the Palmdale West Kiwanis Club members continue the 5K run/walk in their quest to fully endow a scholarship at the Antelope Valley Community College to assist a Veteran, or immediate family member, in furthering their education. Please join us in this effort to support and honor our military men and women as we welcome home our Veterans -one warrior at a time!

Sunday June 2nd, 6:30-7:45 am, Packet, bib pick-up, and late registration at Marie Kerr Park (39733 30th Street West, Palmdale, CA 93551)
