Event Description
Sign up to participate in a 5K run or 1 mile walk at Fred Beekman Park in support of Bucks for TOPS—an active student organization at Ohio State. Bucks for TOPS works hand-in-hand with the Nisonger Center at The Ohio State University to raise money for scholarships and program funding, which allow future and current students enrolled in the TOPS (Transition Option in Post-Secondary Settings) program to achieve higher education and careers that would otherwise be unattainable. The TOPS program at The Ohio State University Nisonger Center offers individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities a unique opportunity to engage in OSU academic coursework and work experiences. This spring semester, Bucks for TOPS is hosting a 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk in support of this philanthropic goal!

Race day schedule:

10:30 am—Check in. Please check in at least 30 minutes before your event.

11:00 am—Guest Speakers.

11:15 am—1 Mile Walk begins (one loop around the jogging path)

12:00 pm—5K Run begins (three loops around the jogging path—this will be hand-timed)

After the run—Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place runners. Participants of both the 5K and 1 Mile Walk will automatically enter in a raffle for various giveaways! Refreshments will be provided. Volleyball and basketball courts will be open, and there will be other games and activities for more fun!
