Event Description

We hope you will come on out for the secret gem of a race that we promise to be a delightful experience for all.  For a quarter of a century the employees of the Anacortes refinery have been organizing the March Point Run to support local charities in the Skagit Valley. We are proud to carry on the tradition of the race that started in 1994 by co-founders Bud Anderson and Dan Cameron.

Come join us for a fun filled family day full of road racing. We kick off the day with the kids race and shortly after runners are lining up for the flat fast scenic sea level certified course for the 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon. There is one big hill on the course that might slow you down a little. Just a little. Hydration stations and port-a-potties will be located on the course. Race is chip timed & USATF certified.

Strollers are welcome and so are friendly canines.

The after party includes a fabulous awards ceremony with ribbons and trophies for the kids and Sauk Mountain one of a kind pottery awards for the 5k, 10k, and half marathon. Local businesses donate over $1000 in gift certificates for the run. Random drawing for prizes will take place throughout the awards ceremony. We will have Race SWAG. Music provided by the honky tonk sensation Crossroads. A complimentary tasty lunch will be provided by an amazing group of employees who love moonlighting as Chefs on their free time.

There's a Kid's Zone filled with engaging fun activities with Super Soaker Stations, Chalk Art, Bubble Bar, and our key attraction is Frankie The Fire Engine from the Skagit Children's Museum.

All proceeds from the run go directly to the CHOW program  https://unitedwayskagit.org/chow/. No child should go hungry. Let's make a difference together.

Anacortes is an hour and a half north of Seattle. Come for the race or stay for the weekend. There's so much magic to experience in the Skagit Valley.
