Event Description

Welcome to the 2017 Run for Reed Schools!

Last year’s race was a great success with more than 780 children, parents and teachers from the Reed School District participating. This year, we are excited to once again host 1 mile and 5k races, but in a new downtown location with an evening celebration on Main Street following.  All finishers will receive a t-shirt and medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers for each event.  And the top male and female finisher in each grade will have their names added to plaques at each of the schools.  Proceeds from the race go to our schools and classrooms to fund numerous programs, support district-wide improvement projects, and provide teachers with much-needed supplies and equipment that they otherwise might not receive. We invite you to sign up for one of our races as well as consider our Family Sponsorship option which includes delivery of race numbers to your home before the event as well our sponsor-only hats!
