Event Description

You don’t want to miss a chance to be a part of a new neighborhood tradition!! It’s the 2nd year of the Baker Ranch 5K! Run, walk, or stroll along the beautiful trails and parks of Baker Ranch from Vista Swim Club, the length of Borrego Trail, across the Alton pedestrian bridge, and finishing at our central Promenade Park. At the finish line you can watch the littlest residents participating in the Baker Ranch Bum Rush! Net proceeds to benefit Higher Ground Youth & Family Services (Tax ID #46-1455865). There will be a Fitness Expo in Promenade Park including all event sponsors as well as local business who can help you with reach your health and wellness goals. This event is open to the public. No matter how you choose to participate, the Baker Ranch 5K is bound to bring active folks from all over Orange County to enjoy the beauty of our parks and lifestyle!

Event details and schedule

IMPORTANT!  To pick up your race packet you must present a valid photo I.D. Packet pickup will be availble on race day at the Vista Swim Club, located at 101 Laurel, Lake Forest, CA 92630.

Please note, this is NOT a timed event. There will be a clock at the finish line so that you may approximate your actual race time, but for this first year, this is technically a fun run, with no timing reports posted or provided.

Event Parking

Parking for the starting line is available on several public residential streets near Vista Swim Club. Please use Laurel, Jasmine, Savannah, Macatera, Heliotrope, and other surrounding residential streets. Please keep in mind, the finish line is in a different location, and you will half to walk approximately one-quarter or one-half mile back to your vehicle. Please keep noise levels down at all times, as a courtesy to residents in the surrounding neighborhood.

There is no parking lot at Promenade Park. Street parking is available on several public residential streets nearby, including Fuchsia, Durango, Barberry, Pinyon, Brant, Juniper, Manzanillo, etc.

Day of Race Packet Pickup and late registration begins on June 15th at 6:30AM.

 

6:30 a.m. – Race day registration and all packet pick-up opens

8:00 a.m. – 5K Run

8:15 a.m. – Fitness Expo opens

9:30 a.m. – Kids fun run – time may vary due to previous race finish.
