STEPS Family Resource Center announces the new Quack, Waddle & Run 5k time/chipped race and 1-mile Family Fun-Run!
Saturday, May 18th, "STEPS 6th Annual Duck Day in May" will host its first 5k and 1-mile fun-run at Ben Geren park in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The 5k race will be chipped and timed by Jaymax Race Timing Service, and begins at 8:00am. The 5k registration fee of $25 includes an event t-shirt and goodie-bag (must register by May 4th to guarantee a t-shirt). The 1-mile fun run is $10 and children under 12 can participate for free! All children under 12 will receive a medal for completing the race, while supplies last. Proceeds from the event will support a variety of programs at STEPS Family Resource Center, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves children and families in the child welfare and foster care systems.
